Join us at 4:30 p.m. for an open house in The Center’s Rose and Pollinator Demonstration Gardens followed by her presentation at 5:30 p.m.

    Charlottesville Area Tree Stewards Spring Sale

    Saturday, April 11th @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

    Virginia Department of Forestry, 900 Natural Resources Drive, Charlottesville, VA

    Charlottesville Area Tree Stewards (CATS) maintains its own tree nursery, entirely run by volunteers. We plant saplings obtained from the Virginia Department of Forestry and other sources and nurture them until they are large enough to be planted out. We concentrate on native trees, some of which are hard to find from commercial sources.

    Conservation Stewards Workday hosted by Blue Ridge PRISM

    Join Blue Ridge PRISM in tackling  invasive plants at Eastham Park in Front Royal, VA. Learn to identify and remove invasive plants that threaten the health & enjoyment of this beautiful natural area. Space is limited to 10 participants.

    Once again, the Piedmont Master Gardeners’ Spring Plant Sale will offer thousands of annuals, perennials, vegetables, fruit-bearing plants, trees, shrubs, herbs and houseplants, including a large assortment of native plants. In addition, shoppers can purchase gently used garden implements, yard décor, and other “Green Elephants” at our garden-themed thrift store.
